Broken Color Workshop at Cotton Patch, Lafayette, CA

I do love teaching at the Cotton Patch in Lafayette, California. The classroom set up is perfect for all types of mixed media and fabric work. There is lots of space, good lighting and electrical hookups, a little kitchen, a bathroom, air conditioning, and the store is nearby in case you just can’t live without more fabric! The staff is always helpful and interested in what is going on in the classroom.

This time I will be teaching “Broken Color – Total Process,” which is a 2-day workshop using a raw-edge, appliqué technique. This class is perfect for all skill levels from the advanced beginner through the advance quilter looking for another technique to enhance their toolbox of skills. This technique adds a sparkle and crispness to your quilts and is perfect for wall quilts. Any appliqué can be done using this approach, whether it is traditional appliqué or art quilt. The workshop is Saturday – Sunday, September 12-13, 10:00am – 4:00pm. The fee is $115, and the supply list is available at the time of registration.

The Cotton Patch is located at 1025 Brown Avenue, Lafayette, California. You can call them to sign up by phone at 925-284-1177.

Hi Jody – I didn’t realize that I didn’t include the year in this blog. The workshop was taught last year. I may teach it there again, but I do not have a date at this point in time. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for your interest. – Denise
