Mixing It Up in Mt. Vernon, Washington

My husband and I have been spending a lot of time up in the Pacific Northwest this year. Dean is originally from Seattle, so we have lots of friends to visit up there. This last weekend, we made some new friends. We flew up to Seattle and drove north to Mt. Vernon, which is a town near La Conner and Anacortes. I taught a workshop on my mixed media techniques to an enthusiastic and talented group of women. Everyone of them finished their pieces in the two days. I hope you enjoy the “gallery” show of their work.

  1. Denise this is amazing-everyone’s piece is very different and beautiful, a testament to a fabulous teacher!

Thanks, Jenny. Everyone in the class was pretty experienced. Most of them had a great idea of what they wanted to do, too. They were also very open to trying new things.

Are you coming home via Portland? Would love to have you stop here. We have First Friday on the 5th so you’d have another chance to visit the gallery. D

Donna – We flew on this trip. But Dean and I will be driving up to La Conner at the end of June to pick up the quilts and possibly teach a class at the museum. We are hoping that we will be able to stop and visit you and Tom on our way up.
