Mixing It Up at the SJ Museum of Quilts and Textiles

Poppy Fields No 3Last time I tried to teach the “Mixing It Up” workshop at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, we didn’t have enough lead-time to let everyone know about the class. We are going to give it another try. I will be teaching this 2-day class, which focuses on mixed media in art quilting, in the Yvonne Porcella Room of the Museum.

We will make 12” square art quilts focusing on pattern design using fabric, papers and paint. This class provides a wonderful atmosphere for creativity and experimentation. If you are interested in expanding your quilting techniques, this is the class for you. A sewing machine that can do free-motion stitching is required.

The class is on Saturday-Sunday, July 11-12, from 11:00am – 5:00pm. The fees are $100 for Museum members and $120 for non-members, plus a $25 class supply fee due at registration. A student supply list is available at the time of registration. To register, go to the Museum website at

https://secure.acceptiva.com/?cst=6b8222.

The San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles is located at 520 South First Street, San Jose, California. Hope you can join us.
